All students go to the Media Center weekly. Students are encouraged to explore the on-line catalog, select appropriate Accelerated Reader books or quietly read books and magazines. These sites can be found in the Portal.
Accelerated Reader is a computerized reading management system. Students earn points by reading books and taking tests on the computer. AR is available to all students 7 days a week from 7:00 am - 8:00 pm. Students can earn brag tags for their points!
Rainbow also participates in the SSYRA program. Visit their website for a full list of books for the 2022-2023 school year.
We hope the program encourages children to want to read independently and become better readers.

We use the Dewey Decimal system to organize books. It is pretty straightforward so if you love books and organizing massive amounts of them, WE NEED YOU!
